Bloom is a mobile math education app for children, developed and operated by CMPN Tech ("we," "us," "our"). Bloom provides interactive math lessons for school students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you or your child uses our mobile application and related services ("Services").

Because our app is designed for children, we take extra care to limit the data we collect and to protect the privacy of our young users.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide our Services:

2.1 Information You Provide

• Phone number: Required for account creation and login. A parent or guardian should provide this on behalf of the child.
• Onboarding preferences: Language preference, grade level, and learning goals selected during setup.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
• Usage data: Which chapters are opened, screens visited, and time spent. This helps us improve the learning experience.
• App performance data: Crash reports and error logs to maintain app stability.

2.3 Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. We do not store credit card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank details. Razorpay handles all payment data under their own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation of payment status, order ID, and transaction reference.

• To provide the learning experience: Deliver math lessons, track progress, and personalise content based on grade level.
• To manage your account: Authenticate login, manage subscription status, and restore access across devices.
• To improve our app: Analyse aggregate usage patterns to develop better lessons and fix issues.
• To process payments: Facilitate subscription purchases through Razorpay.
• To measure app installs: Understand which marketing channels bring users to the app (via Meta SDK).

We do not use personal data for behavioural advertising or sell data to any third party.

5. Children's Privacy

Bloom is designed for use by children with parental involvement. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

• We do not collect more information than is necessary to provide the educational service.
• We do not serve personalised or behavioural advertising to children.
• We do not allow children to make purchases — payment requires a parent or guardian.
• We do not enable public profiles, social features, or user-to-user communication.
• We do not share children's personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• Account creation requires a phone number, which should be provided by a parent or guardian.

We comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and Google Play's Families Policy.

6. Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Review the personal information we hold about your child's account.
• Request correction of any inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your child's account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent for data collection at any time.

7. Data Sharing

• Service providers: We share data with the third-party services listed in Section 3, solely for the purposes described.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred with prior notice.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any third party.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure server-side payment verification, and restricted access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

9. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as the account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records for tax compliance).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via the contact information on file. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
